All oeuvres are to be recited from memory, except for the Sonatas.

Repertoires may not be altered after the 1 st November 2014.

Round I

A. J. S. Bach–One of the following unaccompanied works:
- Adagio and Fuga from the Sonata No. 1 in G minor, BWV 1001
- Grave and Fuga from the Sonata No. 2 in A minor, BWV 1003
- Adagio and Fuga from the Sonata No. 3 in C major, BWV 1005

B. N. Paganini – two Caprices, op. 1
Caprice No. 4 (compulsory) and one more Caprice of free choice

C. G. Tartini-F. Kreisler
Violin Sonata in G minor, Devil’s Trill (including Fritz Kreisler’s Cadence)

Round II

A. E. Bloch: Sonata No. 1 for Violin and Piano

B.One of the Sonatas for Violin and Piano (free choice) by
- L. V. Beethoven OR
- J. Brahms

C. Any two pieces arranged by Jascha Heifetz (free choice)

D.Any virtuoso piece (free choice), duration max. 10-12 mins

E. Compulsory piece written especially for the International Boris Goldstein Violin Competition by a Swiss composer. You shall receive the sheet music following confirmation of participation.


1st Session
W.A. Mozart–One of the following three Violin Concertos :
- Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major, K. 216
- Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major, K. 218
- Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, K. 219

2nd Session
One of the following Violin Concertos:
- H. Wieniawski: Violin Concerto No. 1 in F sharp minor, op.14
- S. Prokofiev: Violin Concerto No. 2 in G minor, op.63
- P. I. Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto in D major, op.35
- J. Sibelius: Violin Concerto in D minor, op.47
- J. Brahms: Violin Concerto in D major, op.77
- J. Conus: Violin Concerto in E minor
